iEarth Delegation Visits Suzhou for Research and Exchange

On 27 April 2026, an iEarth delegation led by Professor Peng Gong, Principal Investigator of iEarth, visited Suzhou for a series of research and exchange activities.
The delegation visited local innovation and industrial platforms, including the National Carbon Measurement Centre (Jiangsu) Suzhou Branch, Suzhou ESG Industrial Innovation Centre, the Energy Centre of Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone, and Jiangsu Financial Leasing Digital Group Co., Ltd. A roundtable discussion was also held with representatives from government, industry, energy, finance, investment, and research sectors.
The exchange focused on potential applications of iEarth’s AI-powered Earth observation and carbon data capabilities in industrial decarbonisation, energy and carbon management, green finance, and sustainability innovation. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to better understand local needs and explore future collaboration pathways in Suzhou and the wider Yangtze River Delta region.
